A MODERN FARMHOUSE CHRISTMAS TREE

I like that I had a brand new place to decorate this year! The Sixty-One Park Farmhouse has been a blank slate for me this season. This year is my 7th year performing the Dream Tree Challenge for Michaels. I know I did a farmhouse theme a few years ago, but I went a contemporary farmhouse twist this season:

I started out using these oversize galvanized tags to the focal points of this tree. The calligraphy was done using a Sharpie acrylic paint pencil:

“Farm Sweet Farm” was merely one of several different sayings placed on the big tags, and each was tied into the tree. The garland was made with bulk bins of unfinished wood beads:

For the quilt square decorations, I cut small stamps to create patterns on these unfinished wood pieces:

I spray painted them white and also added a little bit of greenery into the top:

The sign on the top of the tree is just a small unfinished sign that I said”Merry Christmas” into…and tied a simple burlap bow into the head:

Layered with floral berries and raffia to extract shade across the tree:

Michaels has so many cute enamel signs this season. I wrapped this big”Merry Christmas” sign underneath the counter pub:

A few other decorations: straightforward red balls and stars made from clothespins:

The presents were wrapped in brown paper and topped with Different ribbon from the tree and decorations for tags:

I used some of my precious ornaments for cards too:

The oversize galvanized signals are sold in bulk packs in Michaels for celebration decor and create interest points all around the tree.
